Masking Tape on Queen Cage

Unread post by Colino »

I would just like to add a caveat to the masking tape idea you mentioned in the diary. I noticed you are using the green painting masking tape which doesn't have a thick layer of adhesive like normal masking tape. I have had bees land on normal masking tape and get stuck like fly paper losing legs and wings so if your queen runs into it before getting released she could be damaged.

thanks for the heads up. so far I'm just tried this on one cage. I will have to keep an eye on it and see what happens.
