I wonder what neonics applied t he soil does to this soil-dwelling bacteria?

That whole topic has fascinated me for a long time, and the question you raise is valid. What are the effects of our interventions?

What I wonder, while we are apparently destroying species, is how many are evolving even as this is going on?

That was a good cartoon. :D

We could be creating monsters with all those antibacterial soaps, sprays, hand creams etc. Do we make ourselves more prone to bacteria by trying to kill it on everything so we never are exposed? What ever happen to "you have to eat a peck of dirt before you die"? Do we just make the bacteria stronger by the constant exposure it gets by trying to make our world sterile? The only antibacterial product I use is that hand gel stuff while working bees, it is the best solvent for getting my hands clean before touching the steering wheel of my truck. It removes propolis.

The only dirt I may be willing to eat these days is from my own garden because I know what I have put in the soil.
