sci.agriculture.beekeeping
is a USENET group for discussion of bees and beekeeping.
(For a list of other bee-related discussion areas click here).

USENET groups such as sci.agriculture.beekeeping are normally accessed using newsreader software such as the functions built into Netscape Download Netscape Navigator Now or Microsoft Internet Explorer Download Microsoft Internet Explorer or a standalone newsreader like by Free Agent, NX, or an UNIX newsreader like 'tin' or 'rn'.  Here's a new free reader -- XNews -- that I am currently using and which seems very good.

Unlike email lists which accumulate in your mailbox, USENET articles must be downloaded to your computer and/or read almost daily since they are stored on disks at the ISP and 'expire' after a few days and are erased.  However USENET articles are also stored at Google, a web based free service do not expire.

If you plan to use newsreader software, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) must provide USENET Newsfeed or you must arrange an account with a USENET supplier somewhere on the net.
